Summary

CVE-2023-42768 refers to a vulnerability in F5 BIG-IP systems where a non-admin user, who has been granted admin privileges through an iControl REST PUT request, can retain access to admin resources even after their role has been reverted back to non-admin status using the Configuration utility, tmsh, or iControl REST. This issue may pose a security risk, especially on systems where software has not reached End of Technical Support.
