Summary

CVE-2023-42455 is a vulnerability affecting Wazuh, an open-source security detection, visibility, and compliance project. In versions 4.4.0 and 4.4.1, this issue allows logged users on the Wazuh Dashboard to gain administrator access to the API using the browser development tools. This bypasses the role-based restrictions, potentially escalating privileges and compromising system security. The vulnerability has been resolved in version 4.4.2, and no known workarounds exist.
