CVSS 3.1 Score 9.1 of 10 (high)
Details
Summary
CVE-2023-42454 affects SQLpage, a SQL-only webapp builder, where versions prior to 0.11.1 are vulnerable to information disclosure. An attacker can obtain database connection information from SQLPage by accessing the `sqlpage/sqlpage.json` configuration file, which is publicly exposed with the default web root being the current working directory and an unsecured database connection. SQLpage version 0.11.0 resolves this issue; however, workarounds include using an environment variable instead of the configuration file and setting a non-default web root. It is essential to avoid exposing one's database publicly to mitigate this risk.
