Summary

CVE-2023-42092 is a vulnerability in Foxit PDF Reader that allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations. The vulnerability is triggered when a user visits a malicious page or opens a malicious file. It is caused by a flaw in the handling of Doc objects, where the existence of an object is not validated before performing operations on it. This vulnerability poses a high risk to organizations as it can result in the execution of code within the current process. The affected products include various versions of Foxit PDF Reader.
