CVE-2023-41997

Summary

CVE-2023-41997 is a vulnerability affecting Apple devices, including macOS Sonoma, watchOS, iOS, and iPadOS. This issue allows an attacker with physical access to potentially access sensitive user data through Siri on a locked device. The vulnerability has been resolved in macOS Sonoma 14.1, watchOS 10.1, iOS 16.7.2 and iPadOS 16.7.2, and newer versions of iOS and iPadOS, namely 17.1. By restricting certain options on locked devices, Apple has mitigated this risk and protected user privacy.
