Summary
CVE-2023-41992 is a privilege escalation vulnerability that Apple addressed in macOS Monterey 12.7, iOS 16.7, and iPadOS 16.7, as well as macOS Ventura 13.6. This issue allowed local attackers to potentially elevate their privileges, and Apple confirmed that it had received reports of this vulnerability being exploited in versions of iOS prior to 16.7. The vulnerability has been resolved through improved checks.
