Summary
CVE-2023-41913 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting strongSwan versions before 5.9.12. An attacker can exploit this issue by sending a crafted IKE_SA_INIT message with a DH public value larger than the internal buffer in charon-tkm's DH proxy. The result is a buffer overflow, potentially leading to unauthenticated remote code execution. Early as version 5.3.0 is affected by this vulnerability.
