Summary

CVE-2023-41898 is a vulnerability in the Home Assistant Companion for Android app up to version 2023.8.2, which allows for arbitrary URL loading in a WebView. This vulnerability exposes users to various attacks, including the execution of arbitrary JavaScript, limited native code execution, and credential theft. The issue has been resolved in version 2023.9.2, and all users are advised to update their app to mitigate the risk. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability, and it is considered a high severity issue with a base score of 8.6 according to CVSS version 3.1.
