Summary

CVE-2023-41847 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting versions 3.1.0 and below of the WEN Solutions Notice Bar plugin for WordPress. An attacker with contributor access can inject malicious scripts into a WordPress site's notices, which are then stored and executed whenever the notice is viewed by other users. This can lead to unintended actions, such as stealing user data or taking control of the affected site. To mitigate this risk, users are advised to update to the latest version of the plugin or remove it entirely if no longer needed.
