Summary
CVE-2023-41765 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP). This issue permits an unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code remotely on affected systems. Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to complete compromise of the targeted network infrastructure. The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation, allowing attackers to inject malicious data during the L2TP encryption process. Organizations using L2TP for secure remote access are strongly advised to apply available patches or updates as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
