Details
Summary
CVE-2023-41734 is an administrator-level Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting version 1.2 of the nigauri Insert Estimated Reading Time plugin. An attacker can exploit this flaw by injecting malicious code into a specially crafted input field. Once executed, the code can be stored and later triggered, leading to unintended execution of malicious scripts in a user's browser. This can potentially result in session hijacking, data theft, or other malicious activities. To mitigate this risk, it is recommended that users upgrade to the latest version of the plugin, practice input validation, and implement Content Security Policy (CSP) headers.
