Summary
CVE-2023-41712 is a post-authentication stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability affecting the SSL VPN plainprefs.exp URL endpoint in SonicOS. Successful exploitation of this weakness can lead to a firewall crash. An attacker could send specially crafted traffic to the affected endpoint, potentially resulting in unintended code execution and system compromise. It is recommended that users upgrade their SonicOS software to a patched version as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
