Summary

CVE-2023-4142 is a Remote Code Execution vulnerability affecting the WP Ultimate CSV Importer plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 7.9.8 are susceptible to this issue, which can be exploited by authenticated attackers with author-level permissions or above, given they have been granted access in the plugin settings. Successful exploitation allows attackers to execute code on the server. The vulnerability was resolved by disabling file importing capabilities for authors and editors, leaving Remote Code Execution still possible for site administrators.
