Summary
CVE-2023-41233 is a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the registration process of the Item List page in Welcart e-Commerce versions 2.7 to 2.8.21. An attacker can exploit this flaw to inject arbitrary scripts, allowing them to execute malicious code on unsuspecting users' browsers. This vulnerability poses a serious threat as it can lead to data theft, session hijacking, and other forms of cyberattacks. Unauthenticated attackers can take advantage of this vulnerability by injecting scripts into the registration form, which in turn can be executed when a user visits the affected page. It is recommended that users upgrade to the latest version of Welcart e-Commerce to mitigate this risk.
