Summary
CVE-2023-41053 is a vulnerability affecting Redis, an in-memory database that also persists on disk. The issue lies in the way Redis identifies keys accessed by the `SORT_RO` command. This misidentification can grant unauthorized access to keys that are not explicitly authorized by the Access Control List (ACL) configuration. The vulnerability exists in Redis 7.0 and newer versions, with fixes available in Redis 7.0.13 and 7.2.1. It is recommended that users upgrade to these versions as no workarounds have been discovered.
