Summary
CVE-2023-40944 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the Schoolmate 1.3 software. This issue arises from an SQL Injection vulnerability located in the header.php file. The vulnerability stems from the lack of input validation for the $schoolname variable, permitting malicious SQL statements to be executed against the database. An attacker can exploit this flaw to gain unauthorized access to sensitive data or even modify it. System administrators are strongly urged to patch their Schoolmate installations as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
