Summary

CVE-2023-40924, also known as SolarView Compact < 6.00 Directory Traversal vulnerability, affects the SolarView Compact software versions prior to 6.00. The vulnerability allows an attacker to access files outside the restricted directory by manipulating the pathname. This can lead to unauthorized access to sensitive information, posing a high risk to organizations using this software. To remediate this vulnerability, users are advised to update their SolarView Compact software to version 6.00 or later. The National Vulnerability Database (NVD) has rated this vulnerability as HIGH severity with a base score of 7.5 out of 10.
