Summary
CVE-2023-40668 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting versions 2.16.0 and below of the Pdfcrowd Save as PDF plugin by Pdfcrowd. An attacker with administrative access can exploit this flaw by injecting malicious scripts into a document, which are then stored and executed whenever the document is viewed or edited by an unsuspecting user. This can result in data theft, session hijacking, or other malicious activities. Users are advised to update to the latest plugin version to mitigate this risk.
