Summary
CVE-2023-40547 is a remote code execution vulnerability found in Shim. This vulnerability affects multiple products, including aivUR7, aivUR6, and uaSdbG, among others. To exploit this flaw, an attacker needs to perform a Man-in-the-Middle attack or compromise the boot server during the early boot phase. By crafting a specific malicious HTTP request, the attacker can achieve complete system compromise through an out-of-bounds write primitive.
