Summary
CVE-2023-40375 is a local privilege escalation vulnerability affecting the integrated application server for IBM i versions 7.2, 7.3, 7.4, and 7.5. This vulnerability allows a malicious actor with command line access to the host operating system to gain root access and elevate privileges. The potential danger it poses is high, as an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to compromise the entire host operating system.
