Summary
CVE-2023-40201 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Futurio Extra plugin, version 1.8.4 and below, by FuturioWP. Successful exploitation of this issue allows an attacker to activate arbitrary plugins on a vulnerable WordPress site, potentially leading to unintended functionality or unauthorized access. The CSRF attack occurs due to insufficient input validation and lack of CSRF tokens in certain plugin forms. Users are advised to update to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this risk.
