Summary
CVE-2023-40088 is a serious vulnerability affecting the Android Bluetooth service. Within the file com_android_bluetooth_btservice_AdapterService.cpp, there is a memory corruption issue in the callback_thread_event function. This flaw arises from a use-after-free condition, which can be exploited to execute remote (proximal or adjacent) code, and no additional privileges are required for the attacker. Notably, user interaction is unnecessary for the successful exploitation of this vulnerability.
