Summary
CVE-2023-40051 is a vulnerability in Progress Application Server (PAS) for OpenEdge, specifically affecting versions 11.7 up to 11.7.18, 12.2 up to 12.2.13, and innovation releases prior to 12.8.0. An attacker can exploit this issue by crafting a malicious WEB transport request, enabling them to upload files to unintended server directory paths. Successful attacks could potentially lead to further exploitation of the server or its network, potentially escalating into larger-scale attacks.
