Summary
CVE-2023-40041 is a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability affecting the TOTOLINK T10_v2 5.9c.5061_B20200511 firmware. The issue is located in the setWiFiWpsConfig function of the wps.so library. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted MQTT packets with malicious data in the pin parameter. By manipulating the return address in the buffer, they can execute arbitrary code on the affected device.
