Summary

CVE-2023-39960 is a vulnerability in Nextcloud Server and Nextcloud Enterprise Server versions prior to 25.09, 26.04, 22.2.10.14, 23.0.12.9, 24.0.12.5, and 26.0.4 that allows an attacker to brute force passwords on the WebDAV API due to missing protection measures. The vulnerability has a high base severity rating of 7.5 and a high confidentiality impact, posing a potential danger to organizations using the affected products as it can lead to unauthorized access and compromise sensitive data stored in Nextcloud Server. However, patches have been released for Nextcloud Server versions 25.0.9 and 26.0.4 and Nextcloud Enterprise Server versions 22.2.10.14, 23.0.12.9, 24.0.12. 5, and 26. 04 to address the issue, and no known workarounds are available for this vulnerability at this time (source: [email protected]).
