Summary
CVE-2023-3939 is a critical OS Command Injection vulnerability affecting ZkTeco-based OEM devices, including the ZkTeco ProFace X, Smartec ST-FR043, and Smartec ST-FR041ME. The flaw arises from improper neutralization of special elements in these devices, enabling an attacker to inject and execute OS commands. Since all affected command implementations run as a superuser, the potential impact is severe. The ZAM170-NF-1.8.25-7354-Ver1.0.0 firmware and possibly others are reported to be affected.
