Summary
CVE-2023-39189 is a vulnerability affecting the Netfilter subsystem in the Linux kernel. The nfnl_osf_add_callback function contains a flaw that fails to validate the user-controlled opt_num field. This issue permits a local attacker with CAP_NET_ADMIN privileges to initiate an out-of-bounds read, potentially resulting in a system crash or unintended data exposure.
