Summary
CVE-2023-39175 is a newly disclosed vulnerability in JetBrains TeamCity, affecting versions prior to 2023.05.2. This issue allows an attacker to execute cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks through the GitHub integration feature. By injecting malicious code into a GitHub repository, an attacker can manipulate TeamCity's web interface and steal sensitive information, including authentication tokens, or execute arbitrary code on a vulnerable instance. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to organizations using TeamCity and GitHub for their software development workflow, and it is highly recommended that affected instances be updated to the latest version to mitigate this threat.
