Summary

CVE-2023-38949 is a vulnerability affecting the ZKTeco BioTime v8.5.5 system. This issue exposes a hidden API, which can be exploited by unauthenticated attackers. By crafting a malicious web request, they can arbitrarily reset the Administrator password, compromising the security of the entire system. This vulnerability has significant implications, as it enables attackers to bypass authentication and gain administrative access to the BioTime system.
