Summary
CVE-2023-38703 is a vulnerability affecting the PJSIP multimedia communication library, specifically its SRTP media transport component. This issue arises when the higher level SRTP transport is not synchronized with its underlying media transport, introducing a use-after-free vulnerability. Applications with SRTP capability and using media transport other than UDP are susceptible to this issue. The consequences of this vulnerability can range from application crashes to memory corruption or control flow hijacking. A patch has been released and is available as a commit in the master branch.
