Summary
CVE-2023-38688 affects twitch-tui, a tool that provides Twitch chat functionality in terminal environments. Before version 2.4.1, this software did not use TLS for communication with Twitch IRC servers, making configuration disable TLS by default. This vulnerability exposes unencrypted all data transmitted, including authentication tokens, to potential eavesdropping. Version 2.4.1 includes a patch to address this issue and secure communications.
