Summary
CVE-2023-38685 affects Discourse, an open-source discussion platform. Prior to version 3.0.6 of the stable branch and version 3.1.0.beta7 of the beta and tests-passed branches, unauthorized users could access information about restricted-visibility topic tags. This vulnerability posed a security risk as the tags were intended to be hidden from unauthenticated users. The issue has been resolved in the latest patches for both branches, mitigating the risk.
