Summary
CVE-2023-38597 is a vulnerability affecting Apple's iOS, iPadOS, and macOS platforms. This issue, now resolved, allowed for arbitrary code execution during web content processing. Specifically, the vulnerability was caused by insufficient checks, which have been improved in the latest releases of iOS 15.7.8 and iPadOS 15.7.8, iOS 16.6 and iPadOS 16.6, and macOS Ventura 13.5, as well as Safari 16.6. Successfully exploiting this vulnerability could have led to malicious code being executed.
