Summary

CVE-2023-38530 is a vulnerability that affects several versions of Parasolid and Teamcenter Visualization software. The vulnerability allows for an out-of-bounds read past the end of an allocated structure when parsing specially crafted X_T files. This could potentially enable an attacker to execute code within the current process. The affected products include Parasolid versions prior to V34.1.258, V35.0.254, and V35.1.171, as well as Teamcenter Visualization versions before V14.1.0.11, V14.2.0.6, and V14.3.0.3. To remediate this vulnerability, it is recommended to update the affected software versions to their respective patched releases provided by the vendors to mitigate the risk of exploitation.
