Summary

CVE-2023-38525 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting multiple versions of Parasolid (V34.1, V35.0, and V35.1) and certain Teamcenter Visualization applications (V14.1, V14.2, and V14.3). The root cause is an out-of-bounds read problem while processing specially crafted X_T files. This issue could potentially provide an attacker with the ability to execute code within the context of the current process. Users are advised to upgrade to the affected software's latest versions (V34.1.258, V35.0.254, V35.1.171, V14.1.0.11, V14.2.0.6, and V14.3.0.3) to mitigate this risk.
