Summary
CVE-2023-38502 is a vulnerability affecting the TDengine database, an open-source time-series database optimized for IoT devices. Before version 3.0.7.1, the TDengine Database is susceptible to crashing due to a nested query issue with User-Defined Functions (UDFs). This vulnerability poses a risk to TDengine Databases that allow users to run arbitrary queries, potentially leading to crashes and denial of service. The latest version, 3.0.7.1, includes a patch to address this issue.
