Summary
CVE-2023-38498 affects Discourse, an open source discussion platform. Prior to specific versions of the stable and beta branches, malicious users can cause the defer queue to stall on sites within the same multisite installation. This issue is resolved in version 3.0.6 of the stable branch and version 3.1.0.beta7 of the beta and tests-passed branches. No known workarounds exist, and multisite users are advised to upgrade as soon as possible to mitigate this vulnerability.
