Summary
CVE-2023-38498 is a vulnerability that affects Discourse, an open-source discussion platform. The vulnerability exists in versions prior to 3.0.6 of the 'stable' branch and version 3.1.0.beta7 of the 'beta' and 'tests-passed' branches. It allows a malicious user to disrupt the defer queue on sites hosted in the same multisite installation. The issue has been patched in the mentioned versions, and there are no known workarounds. Organizations using multisite configurations should upgrade to the patched versions to mitigate the risk posed by this vulnerability.
