Summary
CVE-2023-38432 is a vulnerability affecting the Linux kernel prior to version 6.3.10. In the file fs/smb/server/smb2misc.c of the ksmbd component, an out-of-bounds read error occurs due to a lack of validation between the command payload size and the specified length according to RFC1002. This issue could potentially be exploited by an attacker to read sensitive data beyond the intended boundaries, leading to potential security risks.
