Summary
CVE-2023-38404 is a vulnerability affecting the XPRTLD web application in Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager (VIOM) prior to version 8.0.0.410. This issue grants authenticated attackers the ability to upload any file type to the server. Subsequently, attackers can execute the maliciously uploaded file, resulting in command execution on the remote server. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to the security of VIOM installations and should be addressed promptly by applying the necessary patch.
