Summary

CVE-2023-38322 is a vulnerability that affects OpenNDS Captive Portal versions prior to 10.1.2. The vulnerability is caused by a NULL pointer dereference and can be triggered by sending a crafted GET HTTP request without the User-Agent HTTP header. This issue leads to a Denial-of-Service condition, crashing the OpenNDS system. It is important to note that the vulnerability can only be triggered when the BinAuth option is set. Organizations using affected versions of OpenNDS should update to version 10.1.2 or later to remediate this vulnerability and prevent potential crashes and service disruptions.
