Summary

CVE-2023-38313 is a vulnerability discovered in OpenNDS Captive Portal before version 10.1.2. It is a NULL pointer dereference issue that can be triggered by a crafted GET HTTP request with a missing client redirect query string parameter. This vulnerability can cause a Denial-of-Service condition, crashing the OpenNDS system. The issue occurs during client authentication and can only be triggered when the BinAuth option is set. The vulnerability has a base severity score of 7.5 out of 10, indicating a high risk to organizations.
