Summary
CVE-2023-38311 is a recently disclosed vulnerability in Webmin 2.021. This issue involves a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) flaw in the System Logs Viewer feature. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by injecting malicious code into the configuration field. Upon saving the configuration or accessing the System Logs Viewer page, the attacker's script is executed, potentially leading to unauthorized account takeover, data theft, and other malicious activities. It is recommended that users update their Webmin installation to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
