Summary
CVE-2023-3817 is a cyber vulnerability that affects multiple products, including OpenSSL. The vulnerability occurs when checking excessively long Diffie-Hellman (DH) keys or parameters, resulting in slow performance. This issue can be exploited by attackers who provide untrusted DH keys or parameters, leading to a potential Denial of Service (DoS) attack. The function DH_check() is affected, and it is called by various other OpenSSL functions. To remediate this vulnerability, it is recommended to update to the latest version of OpenSSL that includes the fix for CVE-2023-3446.
