Summary
CVE-2023-38126 is a remote code execution vulnerability affecting Softing edgeAggregator. The issue arises due to insufficient validation of user-supplied paths in the processing of backup zip files. This allows remote attackers to traverse directories and execute arbitrary code, gaining root privileges. Authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability, discovered by ZDI as ZDI-CAN-20543.
