Summary
CVE-2023-3812 is a local vulnerability affecting Linux kernel's TUN/TAP device driver. An out-of-bounds memory access flaw is identified, which can be exploited by a user who generates a maliciously large networking packet when the napi frags option is enabled. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could result in a system crash or even privileged escalation. It is strongly recommended that users update their Linux kernels to mitigate this risk.
