Summary
CVE-2023-38056 is a vulnerability affecting various versions of OTRS (Open-Source Ticket Request System), including those from versions 7.0.X before 7.0.45, 8.0.X before 8.0.35, and the Community Edition from 6.0.1 through 6.0.34. This issue arises due to improper neutralization of commands in the OTRS System Configuration, allowing authenticated attackers with admin privileges to execute arbitrary code through the use of the SchedulerCronTaskModule and UnitTests modules. The vulnerability puts these OTRS installations at risk of local code execution attacks.
