Summary

CVE-2023-38033 is a vulnerability affecting the ASUS RT-AC86U router's Traffic Analyzer feature. The issue lies in insufficient filtering of special characters in the legacy Statistic function, allowing a remote attacker with regular user privileges to execute command injection attacks. This vulnerability can result in system disruption or termination of services. Attackers can exploit this flaw to gain elevated privileges and potentially take control of the device.
