Summary
CVE-2023-37962 is a newly identified cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Jenkins Benchmark Evaluator Plugin version 1.0.1 and prior. This issue grants attackers the ability to instigate malicious requests on behalf of an unsuspecting user. By manipulating vulnerable web pages, attackers can coerce users into performing unintended actions, such as connecting to an attacker-specified URL and checking for the existence of sensitive directories, `.csv`, and `.ycsb` files on the Jenkins controller file system. The successful exploitation of this CSRF vulnerability could potentially lead to unauthorized access and data leakage in Jenkins environments. System administrators are urged to update their Jenkins installations to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
