Summary
CVE-2023-37944 is a vulnerability affecting the Jenkins Datadog Plugin version 5.4.1 and earlier. The issue involves a missing permission check, which allows users with Overall/Read access to connect to malicious URLs using attacker-supplied credentials. These credentials, obtained through other means, can be used to capture Jenkins-stored credentials, posing a significant security risk. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability to gain unauthorized access to Jenkins instances and potentially sensitive data. To mitigate this risk, affected users are advised to update their Jenkins Datadog Plugin to a patched version as soon as possible.
