Details
Summary
CVE-2023-37941 is a vulnerability in Apache Superset that allows an attacker to gain write access to the metadata database. With write access, an attacker can inject a maliciously crafted Python object, potentially leading to remote code execution on Superset's web backend. This vulnerability affects versions 1.5.0 to 2.1.0. Although the metadata database is typically only accessible to system administrators and the Superset process itself, gaining such access requires significant privileges. To mitigate this risk, users are advised to upgrade to version 2.1.1 or later.
